Best Managed IT Services in New Braunfels, TX (2026)

Uprite Services, which publishes this page, scores highest among managed IT providers serving New Braunfels for 2026 at 8.03 out of 10, but only just. CMIT Solutions of San Marcos and New Braunfels, whose office is a minute from Main Plaza, is 0.05 behind at 7.98.

Quick picks

  • Best for a posted price and a written way out. Uprite Services, our own firm, which runs managed IT services in New Braunfels from north San Antonio and prints its per-user rate, its 24/7 coverage and a 120-day exit.
  • Best for a team you can walk to. CMIT Solutions of San Marcos and New Braunfels, on East Bridge Street about a quarter mile from Main Plaza, with New Braunfels clients it names on its own site.
  • Best for law, construction and accounting offices. The Tech Doctor, on North Walnut Avenue, which says it picks up on the first or second ring.
  • Best for plants facing CMMC. Velonex, a San Antonio firm with a CMMC readiness program and a manufacturing page that talks about ERP and the plant floor.

Type “New Braunfels MSP” into Google and you’ll get a page about Veramendi and Mayfair. To the search engine, MSP here means master-planned community, not managed service provider. Funny, but telling. It’s a fair summary of how hard this market is to shop. Longer searches? Not much better. They’re full of job boards, a Dallas ranking, a couple of national directories and a dozen San Antonio and Austin firms with a city page that says New Braunfels at the top and almost nothing local underneath.

So on 28 October 2026 we built our own list. We pulled every IT listing Google shows within a 20-minute drive of Main Plaza, plus every provider Google’s AI answers and first-page results named for 6 versions of the search, and we read each firm’s website that day. That gave us 14 names. Seven sell managed IT to businesses and cleared our entry rules, and all 7 are scored below, with the reasons the other 7 didn’t make it near the end.

One thing to know up front. We wrote this page and we sell managed IT, and we don’t have an office in Comal County. Our nearest desk is on Radium Street in north San Antonio, 37 minutes from Main Plaza on an empty I-35. We still come out first. Barely. It’s 5 hundredths of a point, and further down we show every re-run of the numbers that puts someone else first. There are several.

How did we score managed IT providers in New Braunfels?

Seven providers, one rubric with 7 criteria, rolled into a New Braunfels Fit Score out of 10. Every point traces to Google, a domain registry, the firm’s own site or a named third party, checked on 28 October 2026. Nobody paid to be here or sent us data.

Why the local name? Because the question is local. A dental office off Loop 337 or a cabinet shop on FM 306 isn’t asking who’s best in Texas. It’s asking who will fix the problem this week, for a price it can see, without a long drive in between. So being close counts for a fifth of the score, and it’s the criterion that hurts us most. Industry fit is local too. We built it around the businesses Comal County actually runs on, which means factories and distribution, clinics, hotels, restaurants and attractions, contractors, and law and accounting offices.

Each firm had to clear 3 entry rules first. It needed a Google listing tied to a real office within an hour of Main Plaza, a recurring managed IT service sold to businesses rather than repairs, and proof that it serves New Braunfels, either an office within 20 minutes or the city named on its own site.

#CriterionWeightWhat earns points
1Google review record20%Every Google listing the firm has within an hour of Main Plaza, weighted by review count, with the star average worth 60% and the number of reviews 40%
2New Braunfels presence20%A listed office within 20 minutes of Main Plaza that matches the firm’s own site, drive time from the nearest office, a New Braunfels or Comal County page with real local detail such as roads, employers or clients, and 10 or more reviews on that local listing
3Operational evidence14%A published response time, a person reachable 24/7, a named security operations center or named security tools, an outside audit of the provider itself, and a written promise to test backup restores
4Security and compliance depth12%Named controls such as MFA, a named EDR product or email security, frameworks with their own page (HIPAA, CMMC, PCI DSS, the FTC Safeguards Rule, Texas SB 2610), a described incident response, staff training, and help with cyber insurance forms
5Commercial transparency12%A published price of its own (a starting floor gets partial credit), a written satisfaction guarantee or no-penalty exit, and contract terms you can read before a sales call
6Fit for the New Braunfels economy12%Real industry pages for manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, hospitality and tourism, construction and engineering, legal, and accounting, plus a named client or case study in one of them
7Tenure, leaders and recognition10%Years in business (the later of the firm’s own founding claim and its domain registration), leaders named on its site, and a top-tier award with a year, such as the Channel Futures MSP 501 or CRN MSP 500

House rules apply to everyone. Us included. A 24/7 claim counts only if the site says a person picks up around the clock and doesn’t also publish help desk hours that say otherwise. Office hours in a footer don’t cancel it. Where a franchise borrows pages and awards from its national brand, we counted them and also printed the score without them. And our drive times are free-flow estimates from an open routing engine, so treat them as best case.

The 7 best managed IT services in New Braunfels, ranked

1. Uprite Services, for a posted price and a 24/7 line

New Braunfels Fit Score 8.03 / 10

That’s us. I’m Pete Rullman, Uprite’s CTO, so read this one knowing who’s writing it. We don’t have an office in New Braunfels. Our San Antonio team works out of 11831 Radium Street, near the airport, and Main Plaza is 37 minutes up I-35 when the road is clear. On local presence we score 2 out of 10. CMIT scores 10. That gap alone is worth 1.6 points of the final number. That’s the race, really.

What carries us is paper you can check without talking to anyone. Mostly prices and terms. Fully Managed IT is $138 per user a month and includes 24/7 support and on-site visits. Co-managed IT, for a business that keeps its own IT person, is $100. Both rates sit on our published managed IT pricing page beside what each plan covers. A new client can leave inside 120 days with no penalty, and the rate can’t go up in the first year. Our help desk averages about 5 minutes to a first response against a 10-minute triage target, and on Fully Managed we test-restore backups every quarter instead of just watching them run.

On the industry side we’ve written real pages for the businesses that fill Comal County’s payrolls, including manufacturing IT in the San Antonio area, healthcare, law firms, construction and financial firms, and we’ve published a case study about a San Antonio manufacturer’s security upgrade. We were named to the Channel Futures MSP 501 again in 2026.

  • We don’t have a hospitality or tourism page, and hotels, restaurants and attractions employ about 1 in 6 private workers in Comal County.
  • Our only Google profile in range is the San Antonio one, at 4.9 stars from 43 reviews. There are no New Braunfels reviews of us, because there’s no New Braunfels office to review.
  • Our SOC 2 Type 1 report dates from 2023. It hasn’t been renewed.
  • The cheaper $91 and $110 plans on our pricing page are remote-only plans for teams outside the Houston and San Antonio areas. A New Braunfels business that wants on-site help should plan on $138.

Pick us if you want the price, the coverage and the exit terms in writing before a sales call, and you’re fine with a technician who drives up from San Antonio when something needs hands. If you’d rather your IT people be close enough to walk over, CMIT is the better call, and that’s not false modesty. It’s what the scoring says.

2. CMIT Solutions of San Marcos and New Braunfels, the team on East Bridge Street

New Braunfels Fit Score 7.98 / 10

This is a locally owned franchise of the national CMIT Solutions brand. Its New Braunfels office is at 223 East Bridge Street, Suite 104, a minute from Main Plaza, and its owner, Yusuf Ujjainwala, is named on the site. It’s the only provider we scored that wins outright on being here. Two others are close behind. Its 22 Google reviews? A perfect 5.0.

Then there’s the local proof. It’s the best here. The franchise’s own pages name New Braunfels clients, including The Faust Hotel, which it says it has supported for 8 years across the restaurant and bar point-of-sale systems, the reservation system and guest Wi-Fi. A law firm and a lab in town appear too. It even works a Wurstfest booth with the local Rotary Club. That counts for something.

Its packages list a 4-hour, 2-hour or 1-hour response target depending on tier, and every tier includes monthly backup testing and security awareness training. Live support around the clock comes with the Pro tier and up. Not the entry tier. Its site covers CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 for defense suppliers, and the CMIT brand adds HIPAA, PCI DSS and hospitality pages that talk about hotel brand standards.

Now the gaps. There’s no price anywhere. And “no long-term contracts” is the only thing the site says about terms. The home page prints office hours of 8 to 5 on weekdays and a promise to respond within 2 business hours, so ask what the entry tier gets at night. The site leads with San Marcos and has no page of its own for New Braunfels. And several of the points we gave it belong to the national brand rather than this office, among them the industry pages and a 2022 CRN MSP 500 listing. Count only what the local franchise wrote itself and it scores 6.82.

If being 60 seconds from Main Plaza matters more to you than a posted price, call CMIT first. Plenty of businesses here should.

3. The Tech Doctor, the first-ring pickup on North Walnut

New Braunfels Fit Score 5.78 / 10

The Tech Doctor works out of 711 North Walnut Avenue, Suite C, 4 minutes from Main Plaza. Its domain dates to 2005, and its founder and CEO, Matt Hopkins, is named on its about page next to its client services director and lead technician, which is more leadership detail than most firms its size bother to publish. It has the most Google reviews of any New Braunfels office on this list, 73 of them.

The response promise is specific. The site says it answers calls “within the first ring or two” and that a ticket gets a response in 10 to 15 minutes on average. It has proper industry pages for law firms, construction companies, accounting firms and finance offices, the accounting one built around getting ready before tax season. It describes a managed detection and response process step by step, runs simulated phishing for staff, and offers to help with insurance questionnaires.

Where it falls short is the stuff you’d want in writing. No price, no terms. No named security products, either. The help desk runs 8:30 to 5:30 on weekdays and closes from 11:15 to noon for lunch, so 24/7 on its site means monitoring, not people. The city page? A template. And the 4.3-star average is the lowest here, probably because the same listing collects reviews from walk-in repair customers. Who’s it for? It’s a good fit for a 10-person law or accounting office in town that mostly needs someone to pick up fast during the day.

4. Velonex, for plants and defense suppliers

New Braunfels Fit Score 5.37 / 10

Velonex runs from Northeast Loop 410 in San Antonio, 35 minutes from Main Plaza. Its industry writing is the best of the San Antonio firms here. The manufacturing page covers ERP and MES support and the meeting point of office IT and plant equipment. There’s a construction page about jobsite trailers and payment fraud between owners and subcontractors, and a CMMC readiness program it calls MissionReady, with a named defense client it says passed all 110 controls on the first try. It also says it responds to requests “within one hour at the most.”

Read that last line carefully. It’s an aim stated in an FAQ, not a service level in a contract, and Google’s AI summary turned it into a guarantee. Velonex publishes no price and no terms. Its “100% Service Satisfaction Guarantee” is a tile on the home page with nothing behind it. The site says it has served New Braunfels since 1990, but the domain was registered in 2021, so we scored 5 years, which is what our rule says to do whenever a firm’s founding claim and its domain record disagree. Reviews are thin, too. Its San Antonio listing has only 10. Worth a call if you run a plant along I-35 or supply a defense prime. Get the response time and the guarantee into the contract. Both of them.

5. SUURV Technologies, the one that publishes its terms

New Braunfels Fit Score 5.06 / 10

SUURV is a San Antonio firm on Heritage Boulevard, 37 minutes away, with 44 Google reviews at 5.0. In April 2026 it was acquired by Silotech Group, according to a press release on its own site. It names its management team, has real pages for manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, engineering and financial firms, and describes ransomware cleanup and on-site breach help in some detail.

It’s also one of the few firms anywhere in this market that publishes a full terms of service agreement. That’s worth credit. We gave it. It’s also worth reading. The marketing pages say “There are no contracts for our service.” The terms, dated June 2020, set out an early-termination fee of 50% of the fees left on a statement of work, and say SUURV has no duty to keep a client’s data beyond 15 days after the agreement ends. Its 24/7 help desk claim sits above a footer that lists headquarters hours of 9 to 5 on weekdays. No published price, either. It quotes an IT-spend benchmark of 4% to 7% of revenue instead.

If you like reading the fine print before the first call, SUURV is the only firm here that publishes its whole agreement. Read all of it. Then ask which company you’d be signing with now that Silotech owns it.

6. DOCUmation, for copiers, phones and IT from one vendor

New Braunfels Fit Score 4.15 / 10

DOCUmation is big. It’s a regional office technology company. Its San Antonio office on Lockhill Selma Road is 41 minutes from Main Plaza and carries 728 Google reviews at 4.9 stars, the largest review count on this list by far. The firm’s domain goes back to 1998 and it names its leadership, including the president who runs its South Texas office. Its healthcare, legal and construction pages are solid.

The 728 reviews sit on a listing Google files under office equipment, and they mostly describe copier and print service, so they tell you a lot about how DOCUmation treats a jammed copier and much less about how it handles a dead server. The IT help desk runs 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, although its New Braunfels pages talk about 24/7 support. It publishes no price, no terms and no IT case studies, and its 38 New Braunfels pages read like one template with the city name swapped in. If a single vendor for the printers, the phones and the network is what you want, DOCUmation makes sense. If IT is the main event, the firms above it put more in writing.

7. Top Tek Pros, the young local shop on East Common

New Braunfels Fit Score 4.12 / 10

Daniel Rivas founded Top Tek Pros in January 2021, and it works out of 1295 East Common Street, 5 minutes from Main Plaza. Its 31 Google reviews average 5.0, it shows up in the Leadership New Braunfels program, and it was nominated in the 2026 Best of New Braunfels awards, which is the kind of local footprint that’s hard to fake. The techs are local. For a 5-person office that wants someone local and friendly, that’s a real argument.

Why so low? The website says almost nothing we could count. We found no named security tools, no MFA or email security commitments, no compliance pages, no incident response plan, no price, no terms and no industry pages. Google lists its hours as 8:30 to 5 on weekdays. A firm that does good work but doesn’t write it down will always score badly on a rubric that rewards evidence, so ask Top Tek Pros to show you what it would put in place. It may well have answers that its website doesn’t.

How sure are we about first place?

Our lead over CMIT is 0.05 points. That’s a rounding error. Give local presence more weight, or read 2 of CMIT’s claims more generously, and CMIT finishes first. Under 10,000 random sets of weights we came first 7,032 times and CMIT 2,968.

When a firm ranks itself first on its own website, you should assume it leaned on the scale. We’d assume that too. We’d rather show you exactly where the scale is. Here’s every re-run we did, including the ones we lose.

Two deserve a note. The benefit-of-the-doubt run is the one we’d ask you to take most seriously. Small local firms often do more than their websites say, because the person who’d write the page is also the one fixing your firewall. If The Tech Doctor does everything a full-service provider does and simply hasn’t written it down, it passes us too, and Top Tek Pros lands about a tenth of a point behind. The way to find out is to ask them, and the questions further down will help.

Then the gap itself. We win operations and transparency, CMIT wins presence by a lot, and almost everything else is level. So the honest way to use this list is to decide which of those matters more to your office and pick from the top 2 on that basis. Both are reasonable answers.

What do the Comal County numbers say about local IT?

New Braunfels businesses multiplied faster than the IT firms that serve them. Comal County gained about 1,050 private workplaces between 2020 and 2025, and its 122 computer services firms average 6 people each.

We pulled the county files from the Bureau of Labor Statistics Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages for Comal, Guadalupe and Bexar counties. The growth story everyone in town already feels shows up plainly. Comal County had 4,141 private-sector workplaces in 2020 and 5,192 in 2025, a 25% jump, while private payrolls went from 51,885 jobs to 68,496. That’s fast.

Computer systems design and related services (NAICS 5415), private sector, annual averageComal CountyGuadalupe CountyBexar County
Firms, 2025122461,230
Employees, 20257671839,912
Employees per firm, 20256.34.08.1
Firms, 202088351,002
Average annual pay, 2025$101,387$112,620$107,579

Two things jump out. The local IT trade is small, at roughly 6 people per firm in Comal and 4 in Guadalupe, against 8 in Bexar. Then there’s the customer base. Hotels, restaurants and bars employ 9,847 people in Comal County, which is 14.4% of all private jobs, and attractions add another 2,052. Factories employ 4,538, up 44% since 2020. So a New Braunfels provider has to keep a front desk running through Wurstfest weekend and a production line running through a Patch Tuesday update, often with a team you could fit around one table.

Small isn’t bad. A 4-person shop can know your building, your owner and your printer quirks better than any big firm will. That’s real value. The math on hours is still the math, though. Keeping a live person on the phone every hour of the year takes 8,760 hours of staffing, and one full-time technician works about 2,080. If a very small firm promises round-the-clock help, it’s fair to ask who answers at 3 a.m. and whether they work for that firm.

Technician in a hard hat and safety glasses working on network cables inside a wall cabinet on a factory floor

What should a New Braunfels business check before it signs?

Check where the technician actually drives from, how many people have reviewed that office, what it costs per user, how you get out of the contract and whether the security work is written down. Most of that takes one email.

Where does the truck leave from?

Lots of San Antonio and Austin firms have a “New Braunfels” page. Fewer have a desk here. Of the 17 IT listings we found on Google within a 20-minute drive of Main Plaza, 6 had no reviews at all and 10 had fewer than 10. Take out the 2 national repair chains and only 5 local listings carried 10 or more. So ask the plain question. If the server in your back office dies on a Tuesday morning, which address does the technician leave from? Then check the drive. Ours come from the open-source OSRM routing engine with empty roads, which I-35 between Schertz and the Loop 1604 interchange rarely is.

Is the price per user, per device or “call us”?

Ask for a monthly figure per user, what it covers, whether Microsoft licensing is extra and what it costs to onboard the next 10 people you hire, since that number tends to get left out of the first quote. Get it by email. Watch the unit. A per-device quote looks cheaper until you count laptops, desktops, the front desk PC and the shared tablet in the warehouse. Per-user pricing tends to be easier to budget as you hire.

How do you leave?

People skip this one. Ask how long the term is, how many days’ notice stops an automatic renewal and what an early exit costs. Then ask who holds the admin passwords on the day you leave. It matters. A firm that won’t put those 4 answers in writing before you sign is telling you something.

Can they show you the security, not just describe it?

Losses reported to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center reached $20.9 billion in its 2025 report. Ask for proof. Three pieces of it. Multi-factor sign-in turned on for every account, which CISA counts among the strongest defenses against stolen passwords. A dated record of a backup that was actually restored. And a written first-hour plan for ransomware. If you have fewer than 250 employees, ask about Texas Senate Bill 2610 too. It shields a business that keeps a written cybersecurity program, built on a recognized framework such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework or CIS Controls, from exemplary damages in a data breach suit. Nobody has to do it. It costs very little if your provider already documents your controls.

IT technician crouched at a boutique hotel front desk computer while a clerk works at the counter

Does the provider know your kind of business?

New Braunfels isn’t one economy. A short-term rental manager on the Guadalupe River, a dental office on Loop 337, a fabrication shop off FM 306 and a law office near the courthouse all need different paperwork. A clinic needs HIPAA. A shop supplying a defense prime needs CMMC. A tax preparer needs an FTC Safeguards Rule written plan. And a hotel or restaurant taking cards needs PCI DSS. Look for a provider that wrote a real page about your industry, not one that only shows a logo grid. Logos are cheap.

Which firms didn’t make the list?

Seven of the 14 names we started with failed an entry rule. A few others are worth knowing about even though our universe rule kept them out.

  • CenTex Computers. A well-reviewed downtown shop on South Seguin Avenue, but it’s a one-person, appointment-only repair bench that sells business IT one job at a time or on retainer, with no managed service.
  • New Braunfels Tech. Repair, networking and home theater work run from a home near Canyon Lake, with no recurring plan.
  • Hatty Ai. A Cibolo AI and web studio that lists managed IT as one of 8 services. Its site gives no street address, and its Google address uses a suite-and-box format.
  • Customis, VC3, 31West and CTTS. All 4 appeared in Google’s results for New Braunfels, but none has a Google listing within an hour of Main Plaza. CTTS is based in Georgetown.
  • Infonaligy. This one deserves a mention. The Allen-based firm’s site shows a staffed office at 246 West San Antonio Street, 0.2 miles from Main Plaza, with managed IT and a 24/7 help desk. Its New Braunfels listing had 5 Google reviews on the day we checked, and our rule needed 10. So it wasn’t scored. If you want another downtown option, put it on your call list.

Also, the San Antonio firms on our best managed IT services in San Antonio list weren’t added here unless Google’s New Braunfels results named them. Several of them will drive up I-35, though, so that list is worth a look if you’re comparing metro-wide.

So who should you call?

Want the price, the 24/7 coverage and the way out in writing before anyone pitches you? Call us. Want your IT team close enough to walk to? Call CMIT on East Bridge Street. A law or accounting office that mostly needs a fast pickup during the day should try The Tech Doctor. A plant with a defense customer should talk to Velonex. And if you want to read a full contract before the first meeting, SUURV is the only one that publishes one.

Before any of those calls, work out roughly what managed IT costs in New Braunfels for a company your size, so a padded quote stands out. Decide early whether a New Braunfels or a San Antonio IT provider suits your office better, since that’s the trade this whole list turns on. And ask every finalist how they’d build an IT continuity plan for New Braunfels around your busiest weeks. The answers to that last one separate the firms that have thought about your business from the ones that haven’t.

What New Braunfels business owners ask about managed IT

Who is the best managed IT provider in New Braunfels?

On our scoring, Uprite Services, the firm publishing this page, edges CMIT Solutions of San Marcos and New Braunfels by 0.05 points, 8.03 to 7.98, which is close to a tie.

We lead on published prices, written terms and 24/7 support. CMIT leads by a wide margin on being here, with an office a minute from Main Plaza. The Tech Doctor is third at 5.78.

How much does managed IT cost in New Braunfels?

Only 1 of the 7 providers we scored publishes a monthly price, and that’s us, at $138 per user for Fully Managed IT with on-site visits or $100 per user for co-managed IT.

Nobody else does. They quote after a call. SUURV points to a benchmark of 4% to 7% of revenue for total IT spend, which isn’t the same thing as a support price. Get every quote per user, with licensing listed separately.

Are there managed IT companies with an office in downtown New Braunfels?

Yes, CMIT Solutions on East Bridge Street and The Tech Doctor on North Walnut Avenue are both within 4 minutes of Main Plaza, and Top Tek Pros is 5 minutes away on East Common Street.

Infonaligy also shows an office on West San Antonio Street, but it had too few Google reviews for our rules. Uprite, Velonex, SUURV and DOCUmation all work from north San Antonio, 35 to 41 minutes away without traffic.

Can a San Antonio IT company really support a business in New Braunfels?

For most day-to-day work, yes, because password resets, Microsoft 365, email and security alerts are handled remotely wherever the technician sits.

Hardware is different. Distance starts to matter when hardware fails, when you’re moving offices or wiring a new suite, and during rush hour on I-35. Ask any San Antonio provider how often it actually sends someone to New Braunfels and how long that takes on a weekday morning.

Why does a search for “New Braunfels MSP” show houses?

Because Google reads MSP there as master-planned community, so the results are about neighborhoods like Veramendi and Mayfair rather than IT providers.

Easy fix. Search for “managed IT services New Braunfels” or “IT support New Braunfels” instead.

Do any of these providers answer the phone 24/7?

We do on Fully Managed IT, CMIT includes round-the-clock live support on its Pro tier and above, and SUURV and Velonex both claim a 24/7 help desk on their sites.

The Tech Doctor and Top Tek Pros keep weekday hours, and DOCUmation’s help desk runs 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays. Whoever you pick, ask who exactly answers at 2 a.m. on a Sunday, and whether that person works for the firm you’re paying.
