Can an MSSP help with HIPAA, CMMC, PCI DSS, or Texas SB 2610?
It can carry much of the technical work, such as log review, vulnerability scans, MFA checks, and incident records, but the written policies and the risk decisions stay with you. Texas SB 2610 gives smaller companies a reason to keep those records current. In a lawsuit over a breach, a Texas business with fewer than 250 employees that holds sensitive personal information can’t be ordered to pay exemplary damages if it shows it was running a cybersecurity program that meets Chapter 542 of the Business and Commerce Code, and for 20 to 99 employees that program includes CIS Controls Implementation Group 1.
