Collin County in 2026
Why Plan IT for Collin County as a Whole?
Collin County added 42,966 residents between July 2024 and July 2025, according to the Census Bureau’s latest county estimates. Only Harris County added more people anywhere in the United States. Dallas County, right next door, lost 2,616 over the same twelve months. It isn’t a one-year blip.
The growth isn’t landing where the big office parks are. Plano’s Collin County side has added about 7,400 residents since 2020. Princeton went from 16,996 people to 43,524 in the same stretch, and the Collin side of Celina went from 15,494 to 58,358. Princeton more than doubled.
That spread shows up in how local companies are built. A firm might keep its headquarters off Legacy Drive, run a warehouse or clinic in McKinney, and hire people who commute from Anna. Nothing unusual about it.
The business base is mostly small. County Business Patterns counted 31,012 business locations in Collin County in 2023, and 7,706 of them had between 10 and 249 employees. That’s the range where one part-time IT person stops being enough and a full department still doesn’t pencil out.
We support that range from our office at 5757 Alpha Rd, Suite 530, which is in Dallas County. Uprite doesn’t have a Collin County office, and we’d rather say so here than have you find out on a sales call. Distance still matters, though.
Here’s the year-by-year gap between the two counties.

Dallas County’s 2025 loss comes down to domestic migration, with 46,226 more residents moving out to other parts of the country than moving in. Collin gained 24,102 people that way in the same year, plus another 11,749 from abroad.
So the useful question for a Collin County business isn’t whether a provider covers its city. It’s whether one provider can cover all of its cities on one contract.
Coverage by City
How Close Is Help in Each Collin County City?
Every drive time on this page starts at our office on Alpha Road.
The table under the chart lists the five largest cities, how many of their residents live on the Collin County side, and the drive time from our office to each city hall without traffic, measured with OpenStreetMap routing on October 26, 2026. Each of these cities also has its own page.
We also work with companies in Prosper, Celina, Anna, Melissa, Princeton, Wylie, Murphy, Sachse, Fairview, and Lucas at the same per-user prices. The parts of the county outside the five big cities hold 476,749 residents between them.

Most tickets are resolved over a remote session, including locked accounts, printers that drop off the network, and laptops stuck on an update. Hardware is different. A failed switch, a firewall for a new suite, or a closet that needs new cabling requires a technician on site, and our guide to on-site IT support in Collin County explains how those visits are scheduled on each plan.
| City | Residents on the Collin side (July 2025) | Drive from Alpha Rd, no traffic | City page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plano | 287,323 of 293,028 | 18 min to City Hall, 17 to Legacy West | managed IT services in Plano |
| McKinney (county seat) | 236,001, all of it | 33 min to City Hall, 35 to the courthouse | managed IT services in McKinney |
| Frisco | 140,753 of 236,955 | 22 min to City Hall | managed IT services in Frisco |
| Allen | 113,447, all of it | 23 min to City Hall | managed IT services in Allen |
| Richardson | 42,906 of 118,542 | 12 min to City Hall | managed IT services in Richardson |
| Rest of the county | 476,749 combined | 29 min to Prosper, 32 to Wylie | Covered on this page |

Plans and Pricing
What Do Managed IT Services in Collin County Cost?
Every Collin County address gets the same five prices, the ones posted on our pricing page on October 26, 2026.
Three things separate the plans, namely support hours, backup testing, and whether site visits are included. A 9-person office in McKinney on IT Essentials pays $819 a month for business-hours support capped at 8 hours per user, with one backup test a year. A 20-person firm in Allen pays $2,200 a month on IT Pro for 24/7 remote support and two tests a year, or $2,760 on Fully Managed IT, which adds site visits, quarterly tests, and vCIO planning.
A seat in Richardson costs the same $138 as a seat in Princeton, even though Richardson City Hall is 12 minutes from our office and Princeton is farther out than McKinney City Hall at 33. The difference shows up in how soon a technician can be on site, so offices in the northern half of the county have more reason to choose the plan with visits included.
Our guide to what managed IT costs in Collin County runs the numbers by headcount and covers how visits work on the two remote-only plans.
| Plan | Per user, per month | On-site work in Collin County | Usually fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fully Managed IT | $138 | Included | Companies with servers, network gear, or more than one site |
| IT Pro | $110 | Remote only, visits added as an upgrade | Cloud-first teams of 12 or more that want 24/7 support |
| IT Essentials | $91 | Remote only, visits added as an upgrade | Offices under 12 people running on Microsoft 365 |
| Co-Managed IT | $100 | Shared with your in-house IT staff | Companies that already employ an IT person or team |
| MSSP Security Focus | $40 | Security services only | Internal IT teams adding security monitoring |
All five plans carry a first-year rate guarantee and a 120-day satisfaction promise, which lets a client leave the contract within the first 120 days. Co-managed IT for companies with their own IT staff is $100 per user, and the MSSP security plan is $40, both listed on our pricing page. Market rates for the wider metro are compared in our managed IT pricing in Dallas guide.
When comparing quotes, ask each provider to price a visit to Celina or Princeton as well as one to Plano.
Where It Breaks
Where Does IT Break for Companies Spread Across Collin County?
Two sites set up by two different vendors
Multi-site companies are common here because the county’s growth is spread out, with Princeton up from 16,996 residents to 43,524 since 2020 and Anna from 17,137 to 35,245. A Plano office and a McKinney warehouse set up by different contractors usually end up with two firewalls, two Wi-Fi configurations, and a shared drive that disconnects when the link between them drops. Both sites get documented first. Then they share one setup.
The site that sits 35 minutes from help
Prosper Town Hall is 29 minutes from our office with no traffic, Wylie City Hall 32, and the county courthouse in McKinney 35. That distance matters. Offices that far out benefit most from a spare switch kept on site, a cellular backup for the internet line, and one employee who can restart equipment while an engineer works remotely. On Fully Managed IT, the visit itself is included when one is needed.
A breach notice with your city on it
Between April 2025 and October 2026, organizations with addresses in Plano, Frisco, Allen, and Richardson filed 18 notices on the Texas Attorney General’s public breach list. The list is public. Each entry shows the organization’s name and the number of Texans affected. Texas law requires notice to affected individuals within 60 days and a report to the Attorney General within 30 days when 250 or more Texans are involved. Our cybersecurity services for Dallas-area companies cover the controls that lower the chance of a notice like that.
Growth that outruns the one IT person
County Business Patterns counted 2,677 Collin County locations with 20 to 49 employees in 2023 and 921 with 50 to 99. Companies in that range often have one person handling IT, and as headcount grows, that person ends up with a backlog of passwords, license renewals, and backup checks. Co-managed IT at $100 per user per month keeps that person in the role and adds our help desk and engineers behind them.

What You Can Verify About Uprite Before the First Call
The same price in every Collin County city
Our managed plans are $91, $110, and $138 per user per month, published on our website, and the same figures apply to every Collin County address.
Engineers who have worked this corridor for years
Our Dallas office is at 5757 Alpha Rd, the address where Trif Technologies was founded in 2000. Trif joined Uprite in August 2026 and its engineers came with it, so the technicians covering Collin County have worked along US 75 and the Dallas North Tollway for years. Uprite is a 42-person company with offices in Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas.
An audit report and a response time you can ask about
Uprite completed a SOC 2 Type 1 examination in 2023. Across all tickets, our average first response is about 5 minutes. That number is a measured average, not a term in the contract.
Getting Started
How Onboarding Works for a Collin County Company
Onboarding takes two to four weeks for most companies, and the first two steps are free.
Step 1. A call about every site
A 30-minute call covers headcount, the cities your staff work in, and the problems that come up most. Bring a list of every office, warehouse, and clinic address.
Step 2. An assessment you keep
An engineer reviews your network, devices, Microsoft 365 tenant, security settings, and backups and writes a report on what needs attention. You keep the report whether or not you sign.
Step 3. One proposal for all locations
The proposal lists the plan, the seat count, the per-user price from our pricing page, and any project work such as cabling for a new suite. Every site goes on the same proposal.
Step 4. Two to four weeks of onboarding
We install monitoring agents on each device, move administrator passwords into a vault, configure security tools, and draw a network diagram for each site. Staff get the help desk number on the first day.
Step 5. Steady support and a planning rhythm
After onboarding, everyday requests go to the help desk. IT Essentials includes quarterly planning, IT Pro an annual plan with monthly virtual check-ins, and Fully Managed IT vCIO sessions.
Older servers, unsupported software, or a third location can extend onboarding past four weeks. When that is likely, the proposal says so.
Client Reviews
Hector and Kareem are super helpful! They are always willing to take on my computer problems even if its small. I had my mouse disappear off my screen, it was an user issue but Hector didn't make me feel small or "dumb" for this error. We love uprite!
Gerardo Sanchez was very helpful & professional. Uprite Services has great customer service and outstanding technicians. We have used them for several years and will continue our business with them.
I had been having trouble with an IT matter that I didn't think would be fixed but Arvin Ebueng from Upright took his time with me and worked with me until we were able to resolve the issue. The issue was an internal issue with the way the program was written, but Arvin came up with a great work around so that I am now able to do what I need to do at my job. Long story short, he got me access to both things that I need access to simultaneously and daily. Thanks 😊 Arvin, you are much appreciated 👏 💐 🥳.
I’ve been extremely satisfied with Uprite Services and would recommend them without hesitation. They consistently deliver reliable, high-quality work and truly feel like a true partner rather than just another vendor. A special thank you goes to Arvin Ebueng, he is always quick to respond to our needs and incredibly easy to communicate with. No matter how busy things get, Arvin makes sure we’re taken care of promptly and with a smile. His responsiveness and clear communication have made every interaction smooth and stress-free. Thank you, Arvin and the entire Uprite team, Peerless Equipment is a customer for life!
I'm am not a "tech" person, however the team at Uprite gets me through the technological side of computers and software so that I can function on a daily basis... but the most enduring quality is that they care. Special shoot out to Mary, Sergio, Eufemio, Hector, and Jeff just to name a few... I appreciate each of you and the help you give me.
Great service by Juan and Jacob. Always helping us out at Alamo City Trailer Sales. We have been using this company for over 10 years and always happy with the work they do.
Questions We Hear
Questions About Managed IT Services in Collin County
Our published plans run $91 to $138 per user per month, and the number is the same in Plano as it is in Princeton. A 25-person office on Fully Managed IT comes to $3,450 a month before Microsoft licensing. The $91 and $110 plans leave out on-site work unless you add it.
We don’t. Ours is at 5757 Alpha Rd, Suite 530, which puts it in Dallas County, about 12 minutes from Richardson City Hall and 18 from Plano’s on clear roads. McKinney’s city hall is 33. Password resets and email trouble get handled over a remote session, so most people never see us pull into the lot.
All of them. Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, and Richardson each have a page on our site, and we take on companies in Prosper, Celina, Anna, Melissa, Princeton, Wylie, Murphy, Sachse, Fairview, and Lucas at the same per-user price. Up north, the thing that changes is how far ahead a site visit gets booked.
Yes. A Plano office and a McKinney warehouse can sit on one agreement, billed by headcount instead of by building, which usually beats paying two vendors who never talk to each other. Before we touch a firewall, onboarding maps both networks and the link between them.
Plan on a booked visit rather than a race. Routing data puts McKinney City Hall 33 minutes from Alpha Road and Prosper’s town hall 29 when the roads are empty, and US 75 at 5 p.m. is never empty. The first response is almost always remote anyway, and ours averages about 5 minutes.
It doesn’t. The Census Bureau counts 42,906 of Richardson’s 118,542 residents on the Collin side and the rest in Dallas County, and an office on either side of that line gets the same plan, price, and engineers. Plano and Frisco spill into Denton County as well, handled the same way.
Not necessarily. Ask how fast tickets get answered, which jobs need someone on site, and who pays for the drive. Our average response is about 5 minutes, which we measure but don’t write into the contract. A provider down the street that won’t answer those three in writing isn’t closer in any way that helps.
