Awards & Industry Recognition

Cloud services in Dallas cover Microsoft 365, Azure, cloud backup, and migrations, set up once and then managed month to month by a team you can call. Uprite runs that work from 5757 Alpha Rd, and cloud management is built into our managed IT services in Dallas, with plans from $91 per user per month.

Licenses usually aren’t the problem. What’s missing is ownership. Files live in 3 places, nobody remembers who created the Azure subscription, and multifactor sign-in covers most accounts but not the shared mailbox everyone uses. Then a laptop dies, or a former employee still has SharePoint access, and the real question surfaces. Who’s responsible?

That’s the gap we fill. The people who configured your tenant are the same people who pick up when it breaks.

Comparing cloud service providers for more than one Texas office? Tarrant County teams can start with managed cloud services in Fort Worth.

Where Cloud Setups in Dallas Offices Usually Break

6 problems we check for first

  • Multifactor sign-in that skips shared mailboxes, service accounts, or the owner’s phone
  • SharePoint and Teams links shared with anyone, years ago, and never reviewed
  • An Azure subscription nobody owns, with charges nobody can explain
  • Backups that report success but have never been restored on purpose
  • Former employees who still hold licenses, mailbox access, or OneDrive files
  • A file server in a closet that half the office still maps a drive to

None of these trip alarms. They show up during an audit, at a cyber insurance renewal, or the morning after something goes wrong. That’s late.

Cloud Services Built Around the DFW Economy

Dallas-Fort Worth runs on finance and professional services, and its cloud work looks like it.

Financial activities hold 9.1% of DFW payroll jobs against 5.8% nationally, and professional and business services hold 18.1% against 14.1%, based on 2025 annual averages from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Think banks, insurers, title companies, CPA practices, law firms, and the consultants who serve all of them. That mix matters.

Those firms keep client data under retention rules, audit requests, and engagement letters. So the work leans toward Microsoft 365 retention policies, sensitivity labels, conditional access, and sign-in logs you can hand an auditor or an insurance underwriter, much more than toward raw compute or bigger servers.

A plant in Garland or a distribution building near DFW Airport needs something else, mostly hybrid file access and a plan for the day the internet drops. Same tools. Very different setup.

What Our Cloud Services in Dallas Include

NIST’s definition of cloud computing names 3 service models, software (SaaS), platform (PaaS), and infrastructure (IaaS). A typical Dallas office uses all 3 without calling them that. Microsoft 365 is SaaS. An Azure VM is IaaS. Weighing a hosting contract against a managed one? Our cloud hosting versus managed cloud services guide shows where the responsibility line falls.

Microsoft 365 Administration

Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID accounts, from the first-day setup to the last-day lockout.

File Structure and Sharing

SharePoint sites and Teams channels built around how departments actually share, with outside sharing reviewed instead of left open.

Hybrid and On-Premises Systems

Line-of-business apps that can’t move yet stay on a supported server, connected to the cloud where it makes sense.

Identity and Access Security

Multifactor sign-in, conditional access, admin role reviews, and data protection policies, maintained instead of set once and forgotten.

Backup With Restore Tests

Microsoft 365 and server backups restored on a schedule set by your plan, from once a year to every quarter, so a real restore isn’t the first attempt.

Migrations and Cleanup

File server and mailbox moves, or cleanup after a rushed migration, scoped as a project with the cutover date agreed in advance. Law firms have their own Dallas law firm file server migration guide.

That’s The Uprite Way applied to the cloud. Every setting gets written down, and every change has an owner.

Where Your Dallas Cloud Data Actually Runs

Azure’s Texas region and its Illinois pair

Microsoft lists its South Central US region as physically located in Texas, with 3 availability zones, and pairs it with North Central US in Illinois, according to the Azure regions list on Microsoft Learn. It’s the only public Azure region Microsoft lists in Texas, which makes it the usual first choice for Dallas virtual machines and backup vaults.

Zones and pairs differ. Availability zones cover a failure inside the region. A paired region covers a problem that hits the whole region. Or the whole state.

Private connections start at Dallas peering sites

Companies that outgrow a site-to-site VPN can buy a private ExpressRoute circuit. Microsoft’s ExpressRoute locations list shows 2 Dallas peering locations plus a Dallas Metro option, and Microsoft recommends the high-resiliency Metro design as a minimum for all workloads. One detail catches people. Neither Dallas location offers ExpressRoute Local, which Microsoft maps to its San Antonio location for South Central US.

The Texas grid belongs in the plan

ERCOT manages the flow of power for about 90% of the state’s electric load. At its June 2026 board meeting it reported tracking about 438 GW of large-load interconnection requests against roughly 5.9 GW observed energized. That gap is wide. Its April 2026 update to the Texas Senate put data centers at about 87% of the requests. ERCOT’s own map puts Dallas-Fort Worth in its North Central weather zone, where 841 MW of new large load was expected to energize in the fourth quarter of 2026 alone.

Texas changed the rules in 2025. Senate Bill 6 requires large loads of 75 megawatts or more to disclose their backup generation, lets ERCOT direct them to run on it or curtail during an energy emergency, and requires new transmission-voltage loads connected after December 31, 2025, to be able to curtail during firm load shed.

None of that means your workloads go dark. It does mean 2 copies sitting in Texas share one grid. Ask where backups live. If the answer is another Texas building, the Illinois pair is the simpler hedge.

Hector and Kareem are super helpful! They are always willing to take on my computer problems even if its small. I had my mouse disappear off my screen, it was an user issue but Hector didn't make me feel small or "dumb" for this error. We love uprite!

I had been having trouble with an IT matter that I didn't think would be fixed but Arvin Ebueng from Upright took his time with me and worked with me until we were able to resolve the issue. The issue was an internal issue with the way the program was written, but Arvin came up with a great work around so that I am now able to do what I need to do at my job. Long story short, he got me access to both things that I need access to simultaneously and daily. Thanks 😊 Arvin, you are much appreciated 👏 💐 🥳.

How Cloud Onboarding Works With Our Dallas Team

Inventory the Tenant

We list every account, license, admin role, shared mailbox, SharePoint site, Azure resource, and backup job, plus who owns each one and when it was last reviewed, before anyone changes a setting. That list usually explains last year’s surprises.

Close the Gaps

Sign-in security and outside sharing get fixed first. Retention and backup come next.

Migrate on an Agreed Date

Moves run on a cutover date you approve, with a rollback plan written before anything changes.

Run It Every Month

Licenses, sign-in alerts, backup results, and Azure spend get reviewed on a schedule, with restore tests at the frequency your plan sets.

How Much Do Cloud Services in Dallas Cost?

Cloud management is included in Uprite’s managed IT plans, which start at $91 per user per month for remote-only IT Essentials and run to $138 for Fully Managed IT with onsite support.

Those are the published starting rates on our pricing page, and they hold across Texas. They aren’t teaser rates. At 30 people, Fully Managed IT comes to roughly $4,140 a month before licensing.

Microsoft 365 licensing is passed through at cost on its own line, and migrations, office moves, and hardware are scoped separately, as our managed IT pricing in Dallas page lays out.

Questions Dallas Teams Ask Before Moving Their Cloud

How much do cloud services cost in Dallas?

$91 to $138 per user per month is the published range for Uprite’s managed IT plans that include cloud management, before licensing. IT Essentials at $91 is remote-only for teams under 12, IT Pro at $110 covers remote teams of 12 or more, and Fully Managed IT at $138 adds onsite support. Microsoft 365 licensing is passed through at cost on its own line.

Which Azure region should a Dallas business use?

South Central US, the only public Azure region Microsoft lists in Texas, is the usual home for Dallas workloads. Its paired region is North Central US in Illinois. Keeping at least one backup copy outside Texas means a statewide grid emergency can’t reach every copy at once.

Can we keep some servers on-premises?

Yes, often. An ERP system or line-of-business app that wasn’t built for the cloud tends to run better on a supported local server backed up to Azure. We plan around what has to stay, then move what doesn’t.

Can you fix a cloud setup another provider left behind?

That’s a normal place to start. Cleanup after a rushed migration begins with an inventory of admin accounts, sharing links, licenses, and backup jobs, and sign-in security gets fixed before anything else. Bigger cleanups are scoped as projects, so the cost is known before work starts.

Is the cloud more secure than an on-premises server?

Short answer, it can be, but only if someone keeps the settings maintained. Microsoft secures its data centers, while the sign-in rules, sharing settings, and admin roles in your tenant stay on your side of the line. CISA publishes free SCuBA secure configuration baselines for Microsoft 365 that any organization can use as a yardstick.

Do you manage Azure for Dallas businesses?

We do, from setup and security through cost reviews and day-to-day management. Spend gets the same monthly attention as uptime.

What happens to our cloud if the Texas grid has an emergency?

Texas Senate Bill 6 lets ERCOT direct data centers drawing 75 megawatts or more to run on backup generation or curtail during an energy emergency. The law is aimed at the facility, not at your office. It’s still a good reason to keep a backup copy in a region outside Texas and battery backup on your office network gear.
